Hartwood Consulting Group is Hiring a SharePoint Developer Near Jacksonville, AR

Position Description: This position is 95% remote with some travel. The candidate will be directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the Hartwood Consulting Group (HCG) development team and USMC organizational support for records management. The position requires the utilization of multiple scripting languages to extend and surpass the limitations of out of the box SharePoint capabilities and widespread knowledge and experience in analysis, design, hands-on development, and delivery of web-based applications utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Online. The position requires direct contribution to the development of customer requirements, data architecture, software design, and ultimately, create solutions of varying complexity, following a methodical, agile process. The position supports the planning effort and migration from current SharePoint versions to future iterations of SharePoint as industry standards dictate (On-premises and Cloud / SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365) to meet specific mission needs, using the SPO platform to automate business processes, to encourage knowledge sharing and to improve productivity.
In this role, the SharePoint Developer will be required to develop applications utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI) and other Microsoft 365 tools (MS Teams, Dynamics, Planner, One Drive). The candidate will also provide customer support for issues and problems with existing solutions as a technical extension of the service desk.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Documentation of the functionality and the ability to be responsive to the changing requirements as directed by evolving program demands are integration to a successful support effort.
  • Create and maintain a Technology Support plan for SharePoint, as well as any other RM technologies determined to be required to support the RM program; plans should include documentation of the support provided, the schedule for modifications, and in conjunction with the outreach and training staff, a plan for rollout or sun-setting as appropriate.
  • Provide technical expertise to the Government in the management and continued implementation and deployment of Marine Corps SharePoint electronic RM solutions for the Marine Corps Total Force to manage and preserve records.
  • Coordinate migration from legacy records management systems into enterprise records management repositories and support the RM user migration onto the enterprise RM solution.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for electronic RM implementation including but not limited to implementation guides, user guides, and online support when government travel is untenable.
  • Perform temporary duty travel for electronic records management solution rollout/assisted visits to include stateside and worldwide travel. Rollout shall emphasize a ‘train-the-trainer’ approach in which the electronic records management solutions are implemented in parent commands with the parent command fully configured to self-implement at all subordinate command locations.
  • Consolidate user experience feedback and develop RM recommendations regarding the design, planning, capabilities, and execution of future RM solutions.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related IT Degree
  • Minimum 7 years dedicated experience utilizing SharePoint, .Net, and JavaScript Developer.
  • Advanced knowledge of interoperability of SharePoint Online and other Office products.
  • Experience designing and implementing secure M365 application development service offerings leveraging the Power Platform suite including some or all of: SharePoint Framework, Web Part development, SharePoint and Teams solution packaging, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • Advanced knowledge of advance features of SharePoint Online (i.e., Excel Services, BCS, Enterprise Search, Usage Reporting, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of InfoPath, SharePoint Designer, and SharePoint workflows
  • Advanced knowledge of CSS, HTML, JavaScript, to further enhance the look and feel and boost functionality within SharePoint when using these methods.
  • Must have hands-on experience consuming Web Services and extension of JavaScript/jQuery libraries using SOAP, REST, JSON.
  • Working knowledge of the configuration and setting for SharePoint WebParts, especially in the areas of List Filters, WebPart Filters, Search and Data Connections.
  • Working knowledge of XSLT and how it relates to SharePoint specifically when it comes to XSL template manipulations (legacy SharePoint technologies).
  • Experience with calculated fields and Content Query WebParts.
  • Advanced debugging skills to also be able to debug system-wide technical problems.
  • Proficient with Agile Development processes, defining detailed functional and technical requirements.
  • Working knowledge of integrating third party tools like Nintex, Metalogix, AvePoint, etc.
  • Working knowledge of C#, SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint App Model, SharePoint Framework
  • Must be highly organized, with excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable leading, directing and making presentations to large audiences, specifically as it relates to the government/DoD.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must exhibit an independent interest in the use of new technologies, tools, and professional development.
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related IT Degree (8 years of experience can replace the education requirement).
